The land
VAGA TERRA's grove lies between Béja and Joumine, in the Bizerte region of northern Tunisia. It covers around 45 hectares.
It was this land that guided every choice that followed: which variety to plant, when to harvest, how to work.

Our story
Seven chapters between a grove in northern Tunisia and the tables of Portugal — told as they happened, with nothing added.
The land
VAGA TERRA's grove lies between Béja and Joumine, in the Bizerte region of northern Tunisia. It covers around 45 hectares.
It was this land that guided every choice that followed: which variety to plant, when to harvest, how to work.

The trees
The olive trees were planted in 2015 and tended from then on, tree by tree, until they bore fruit.
The first production came in 2025. Ten years between planting and bottling.

The producer
Med Khalil Bouani owns the grove. He cares for the trees, follows the harvest and takes part personally in the milling and extraction of the oil.
He is the first in his family to build an olive-growing business. VAGA TERRA does not inherit a tradition — it begins one.
The name speaks of the life of nature: the connection between the land, the trees and the natural cycle that gives the oil.
Chetoui
Khalil chose Chetoui as the variety best suited to the land and the conditions of his grove.
VAGA TERRA produces 100% Chetoui extra virgin olive oil as well as blended oils. The bottle shown on this site is 100% Chetoui — variété unique, as the label says.

The harvest
The harvest usually takes place at the end of October — earlier than the traditional season, which can run to the end of November.
Picking early means accepting less oil in exchange for more character. It is a deliberate choice, made again every year.

The oil
The olives are processed on the day they are harvested, so the path from grove to oil is as short as it can be.
The result was analysed by the Office National de l'Huile (ONH) in Tunis: free acidity of 0.30 % and a median of defects of 0.0 — extra virgin grade (report no. 2026B0500).

Portugal
In Portugal, VAGA TERRA is exclusively distributed by Idílico & Lendário, based in Porto.
Portugal knows olive oil. It is a demanding market that tastes before it buys — which is why we always start in the same place: a tasting and a conversation.
